With a degree in plastic and cosmetic surgery, Dr. Duclos was trained in the absolute latest technologies at the most demanding institutions. She passed her exams in plastic and cosmetic surgery at the Collège des Médecins du Québec, the Collège Royal des Médecins et Chirurgiens du Canada et de l’American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Furthermore, Dr. Duclos completed many advanced specializations in Paris and at the Mayo Clinic in the United States. More recently, she followed a special program as part of the Programme de médecine d’assurance et d’expertise at l’Université de Montréal, all while pursuing a very active private practice.
When Dr. Duclos opened her own clinic with its operating wing, she realized a dream she’d held from the very beginning: to help her patients express their hopes and achieve their desires, guiding them along the way. Dr. Duclos had always had the intention of specializing in plastic and cosmetic surgery in order to launch a private practice founded on the values she holds dear: listening and understanding. To Dr. Duclos, each person is unique, deserving of special attention. That is the key to her approach.
Dr. Duclos is also committed to helping young doctors, making sure they develop empathy along with their technical and professional skills. Accordingly, she teaches medical students at l’Université de Montréal about the ethical dimensions of the practise of medicine, communication, the doctor-patient relationship, environmental factors that affect health and illness, as well as the fundamental truths about human beings and the way they relate to their environment.
